St. Pete's oldest living museum is a botanical paradise in the midst of the bustling city. The 100-year-old Sunken Gardens is home to some of the oldest tropical plants in the region. Meandering paths guide visitors through a living collection of more than thousands of plant species, tropical plants and flowers with lush demonstration gardens, cascading waterfalls, and a flock of flamingos.

The 9th annual SHINE festival takes place October 13-22, 2023. Is an outdoor art exhibition aimed at celebrating art for art’s sake. During SHINE, 14 new murals plus a series of Bright Spot community mural projects will be added to the art districts and surrounding neighborhoods of St. Petersburg’s downtown. Use the 2023 mural map (released in October 2023) to find the artists as they create or visit during the final weekend to see the completed works of art!
